In February of 1999, two Alexander County, NC men who had served as deacons together in church began talking about a partnership to form a local finance company that would serve the needs of their community.
On September 29th of 2000, they opened Basic Finance, Inc. in Taylorsville, North Carolina. The company was successful in Taylorsville, so they began plans for expansion. Three new locations opened in surrounding counties. The North Wilkesboro office opened in November 2001. The Elkin office opened in May 2004, and the West Jefferson office opened in July 2006.
Basic Finance, Inc. then decided to expand to the eastern part of North Carolina by purchasing some existing finance offices. They purchased an office in Rockingham in February 2009, Shelby in March of 2010, Wadesboro in October 2010, and Red Springs in February 2011.
In June of 2013, they expanding a little closer to home by opening a new location in Statesville.
Today, Basic Finance, Inc. is proud to serve over 15,000 customers across the state of North Carolina by providing loans from $500 to $7,500. The company has become well known for their special logo on each office entrance door which lists the daily operating hours and displays “Golf on Saturdays, Church on Sundays”. Each logo reminds us to enjoy the life we have been given and continuously serve our Lord and Savior.
